Meet the Manager

Patrick Howard

Patrick Howard has been a part of the Mascoma community his entire life. He attended Enfield Elementary School, and eventually graduated from Mascoma Valley Regional High School. Patrick was one of the first recipients of the Friends of Mascoma Scholarship awards. From there, he went on to pursue an associate degree in Horticulture and Landscape Management along with a minor in Forestry at the University of New Hampshire (UNH).

During Patrick’s time at UNH he obtained his ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute) certification. Patrick also became a certified Techo-Bloc installer, allowing MTD’s to be listed on the national Techo Pro installer website. Through his degree program he attended the GIE+ EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky and the Northeast Hardscape Expo in Providence, Rhode Island. He and fellow classmates competed in live patio build off competitions against some of the best landscape schools and contractors throughout the country. This past spring Patrick won second place in the patio build competition at the Northeast Hardscape Expo.

Patrick joined the MTD’s family in 2013. Through his curiosity and hard work, Patrick was exposed to many aspects of the business including plowing, sanding, landscaping, and lawn maintenance. As Patrick progressed with the company, he was promoted to head of the Landscaping Department. His responsibilities included overseeing the completion of jobs, scheduling, ordering materials, communications with suppliers, and designing 3D virtual images of end products.

During his free time Patrick enjoys going on motorcycle rides with his friends and family, camping at Gunstock Mountain, and going out to eat at his favorite restaurant, The Big Catch, located on Newfound Lake. Patrick is very much looking forward to working in the area he grew up in, and hopes he can bring a fresh, new perspective to the landscaping and property maintenance industry in the Upper Valley.
